She is an actress, businesswoman, model, and former adult film actress. Originally from India, her family moved to Canada and then Southern California. As a young girl, she was an athlete and played street hockey with the boys, enjoyed ice skating on a nearby frozen lake and drinking hot chocolate in front of a fire after playing in the snow all day.
Sunny Leone was initially wary of posing nude and making suggestive postures in front of the camera. However, she managed to shed all inhibitions and soon was a top adult model/actress. In 2001, Sunny was named Penthouse Pet of the Month for the March issue. In 2003, she was named Penthouse Pet of the Year.
